Dictates that you don't call somebody up to ask how to do a crime.

When watching my on my crime shows, I always laugh at the fools who get caught and whose hard drives reveal they Googled "arsenic," "cyanide," or Tetrodotoxin.

Then after the crime, you keep your big mouth shut and don't go talking about it on Twitter.

The thing I loved about that apartment is...it was on the West side of the street, so higher than the buildings across the street...and it was a 2-story unit taking part of the 3rd and all of the 4th floor. The living, dining and kitchen were on the top floor and there was a full length patio/balcony over the the last 1/2 of the 3rd floor...so we had a glass wall with a totally unobstructed view to the east....basically from downtown to Candlestick Part (when it existed).

until I looked it up to be sure. Mike Pence is an idiot.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/09/14/new-details-undermine-pences-supposed-hero-turn-jan-6/

So intent was Pence on being Trump’s loyal second-in-command — and potential successor — that he asked confidants if there were ways he could accede to Trump’s demands and avoid certifying the results of the election on Jan. 6. In late December, the authors reveal, Pence called Dan Quayle, a former vice president and fellow Indiana Republican, for advice.

Quayle was adamant, according to the authors. “Mike, you have no flexibility on this. None. Zero. Forget it. Put it away,” he said.

But Pence pressed him, the authors write, asking if there were any grounds to pause the certification because of ongoing legal challenges. Quayle was unmoved, and Pence ultimately agreed, according to the book.

We have truly reached a bizarro world situation when Dan Quayle has a heroic moment in this story. Wow.

Pence who received accolades for not bending to Trump's demands was actually looking for a way out, one in which he could avoid the heavy criticism and threats from the MAGAT extremists.

And Dan Quayle of all people talked him down and was the voice of reason convincing Pence he had no power whatsoever to upend a legitimate election.

Headspinning!!!
