While was eating at a truck stop in Nebraska......

they had Fox news on! The rest of Bluff O'realy and Swine Handleit(wrong) was just starting. Unfortunately, the sound was up! I listen for about 15 mins and shovel the rest of my dinner down, OOOPS!

Hanity was talking about the Libya attack. Boy, they think want happened and why they have not heard the truth from the president, is because it is a cover up. Now, I know it is a terrible thing what happened and that lives where lost. But to me, I feel there is somethings we don't need to know. With all the security risk and top secret information, things do not need to be said at this time.

The president has already taken responsibility for what happen and the right wing media and the rest of the media need to let the process work it itself out. In time we will have the facts.

I remember the Lebanon bombing in 1983, took several months to find out all the facts, but most people don't remember that incident. I was stationed in Germany at that time and we heard all kinds ridiculous rumors.

God forbid, this could have happen at any time and under other people's watch.

Reagan immediately cut and run. I didn't blame Reagan, we should have not been there to begin with. The worst part of the situation for me was the lives of the young Marines that were lost. I was younger than those Marines at the time, but the images of stunned Marines sitting bleeding on rubble was seared into my mind, and they were the lucky ones, over 200 of their buddies lay dead in that rubble. Many republicans have a romantic image of Reagan as a tough guy, but our nation suffered more small and large international setbacks under Reagan that under any President before or after Reagan.

is that we were backing up an Israeli incursion into Lebanon during that country's civil war..

that memory makes my hair stand on end, when i hear the chicken hawks rattle sabers with Iran... I'm sure there are many American right wingers, that hope and pray, that Israel will make the pre-emptive strike.. pulling the USA into yet another mid east war..

Another way to sway public opinion. I always go in, see they have fox; tell the waitress that I want the manager and then tell them that I won't spend money in a place that promotes hate speech and leave. They always look stunned.

but Reagan didnt and 241 Marines were killed the deadliest single-day death toll for the United States Marine Corps since the Battle of Iwo Jima of World War II, the deadliest single-day death toll for the United States military since the first day of the Tet Offensive during the Vietnam War, and the deadliest single attack on Americans overseas since World War II.[
