tomorrow AM when the media reports that the recall of Newsome has failed.

Brian Wilson on MSNBC reporting early returns stated that the pattern of recent elections was heavy mail in ballot Democratic turnout but more GOP votes came from day of election voting.

I see that Merced county (San Joaquin Valley) is closer, than San Diego, mid 50s to mid 40s. The recall is likely to succeed in some counties of rural California.

and know my way around California. That is why made comparison between San Diego and Merced.

I think the election is in the bag for Newsom.

I am in Humboldt county but parts of rural northern California are basically rural Texas.

There has actually been a UC campus in Mercer since 2005.

My father was a farmer in Atwater. 10 miles down the 99. San Diego is bigger than this area. There may be more land, but there are far fewer people. And yes, might as well be texas with the exception of healthcare. Which is a big fucking deal.

They’re literally giving away free rides to UC Merced because they can’t get enrollment numbers where they want. The town is terrible.

Went to Fresno State for a semester when 18 and dropped out.

My favorite time of year in San Joaquin Valley is when the fruit trees bloom.

Hooray we will not have Elder or a GOP for Governor !!!

I find it very troubling that so many Americans have lost their minds.

Getting a few thousand to vote yes isn't going to over come over one million in LA County voting No.

These are large population counties, and before LA, SF and Oakland come in. The rural Counties aren't going to overcome these numbers.

and they show close parallels. At least, with the early votes.

For me this means that even if Biden approval has dropped, nationwide, it has not affected these elections.
