(58,785 posts)Looks like most were not happy with Elder's xenophobia and racism. I'm sure even conservatives had no problem recognizing "immigrants" are also proxies for themselves in Republican slurs.

It won't matter, because Newsom will win, but you're numbers are off base by a lot.

(3,019 posts)Someone posted in another thread, why don't we Dems living in states with Repug governors not start a recall on each one of them. My response was because even with evil people like Abbott, DeSantis and Noem doing really stupid vile things, if an election was held tomorrow, if it is likely they would win and the recall fails, the Dems damage their brand, frustrate voters and probably do even less well in the next regular election. Now, maybe, if there was a super compelling Dem candidate, maybe worth the risk, but unlikely.
