This is the kind of chart the GOP will point to and say, 'See COVID got worse under Biden so it's his fault.'



This is why they're flogging lies and encouraging counter-productive measures in the name of freedumbs; so Biden will look bad. People here on DU are highly informed so we know what the GOP is trying to pull but the vast majority of Americans are low information voters who will see a chart like this and say, 'Huh maybe Biden isn't doing such a great job. Maybe the other side should be in charge.' The media isn't helping either. They will continue to promote both-siderism because conflict between the parties attracts viewers.

This is a nonsensical tact by the GOP, but they can't help it because they follow Trump absolutely.

What is being understated is how much of a minority the anti vaxxers are. Over 75% of US adults have taken at least 1 dose of the vaccine, so we're not talking about a 50-50 split like the media portrays it, we're talking about 1 in 4. The GOP is staking their 2022 strategy on 1 in 4 and shrinking Americans remaining loyal to Trump's nonsense despite all of the dying and sickness they see around them. It's incredibly dumb.

And furthermore, it is 95% Right wingers dying right now, those people are no longer voting and what's more is their families just watched them die because they believed Republican lies. That can be a very powerful eye opener.

I think they’ll certainly try to tie COVID numbers to Biden but they’ll fail. Sane people are still a comfortable majority in this country.

13. Totally not related... But, you're correct it does seem to be the Qult's Questionable strategy.

I didn't realize that the dip around the first of Sept was world wide. There are slight dips in Canada and Germany with a more pronounced dip in the US.

Is it something real? Something to do with the pandemic? A statistical aberration or number gathering artifact? Was this the extended protocols kicking in again?

It is present in most of the States to some degree as well.

I haven't seen it discussed.

Does anyone have a clue?
