Of course, 43% of a third of the votes cast won't get him far in a true election, should he decide to take a shot in '22, but then, that's his problem (and the GQP's bane).

Should the recall succeed.
If I understand correctly, you could vote NO on recall, but also pick Elder as your (effectively) #2 choice.
So 43% of Californians voted for Elder ... as either their #1 or #2 choice is more accurate.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
