10. I saw this and wondered how they managed to keep from snarling at Cruz and Cornyn.

It would have been completely within Simone Biles' right to hurl a contemptuous question at those meatheads for fawning all over themselves and praising their (the girls') bravery and ignoring the fact these young women were raped repeatedly during their adolescence by Larry Nasser and their accusations were ignored. What would have happened if any these young women were impregnated? Biles lives in Houston and if that abuse had happened after the abominable un-decision decision by the SCOTUS she would have been required by law to carry a rape baby to term if she had been impregnated with a ten thousand dollar bounty imposed on any person who would facilitate her being able to do something about it.

What is a young female worth? Not much, apparently: she is property, she is sexualized, she is mocked, she exists for others’ use and abuse. She is certainly not human. Girlhood is fraught with these pressures; this is why we “mature faster.”
