General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, is facing accusations of treason from Republicans who have called on President Joe Biden to fire the United States' highest-ranking military officer.
Calls for Milley's ouster stem from a Washington Post article on Tuesday about two phone calls the general reportedly made to General Li Zuocheng of China on October 30, 2020, and January 8, 2021.
According to the article, Milley wanted to reassure Li that the U.S. was not going to attack China amid concerns about former President Donald Trump. He told Li he would inform him if there were to be an attack.
The second call was prompted in part by Milley's call with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi on January 8, when she expressed concern about Trump's mental state. She told Milley: "You know he's crazy."

Trump Calls Allies to Demand Gen. Mark Milley Be Arrested for Treason
In the afternoon hours on Tuesday, following reports that then-President Donald Trumps top military adviser had formulated secret plans in case the commander in chief went rogue after the Jan. 6 riot, the ex-president picked up the phone and rang up several close associates and TV-prone political allies. According to two people familiar with the matter, the twice-impeached former president was sounding testy and had a simple request:
He wanted his prominent supporters to go on television and in public this week to declare that Gen. Mark Milley should be arrested for treason.
They followed his orders as various MAGA-faithful pundits and Trumpy candidatesincluding Ohio U.S Senate candidate Josh Mandel, Trump-aligned TPUSA frontman Charlie Kirk, and several former Trump officialsdutifully echoed the treason charge on social media. And by Tuesday evening, the twice-impeached former U.S. president was on a Newsmax show co-hosted by his former White House using the T-word.
I've had so many calls today saying that's treason, Trump told Newsmax hosts Sean Spicer and Lyndsay Keith. Later in the evening, the former president released a written statement through his office, calling him Dumbass General Mark Milley, adding that if the reporting is accurate, I assume he would be tried for TREASON in that he would have been dealing with his Chinese counterpart behind the Presidents back and telling China that he would be giving them notification of an attack.

(13,903 posts)Has Milley violated UCMJ or standing orders or did he ignore the orders of the Pig?
Hell this is just in a book, is it even true?

(16,079 posts)The UCMJ doesn't list treason as a crime -- the closest is " aiding the enemy ", at what point did General Milley aid the enemy?
China, like Russia isn't an enemy...an adversary yes, a business competitor...definitely, but not an enemy!
Was there a standing order, did Trump issue a specific order...could either order be considered illegal?
The best chance would be under Article 88 of the UCMJ: Contempt Toward Officials- Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Transportation, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Territory, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.

"You can go back to October of 1973, during the Arab-Israeli war of 1973," he continued. "The war was in the fourth or fifth day, escalating towards possible nuclear war, and Henry Kissinger was fielding calls from 10 Downing Street. They wanted to speak with [Richard] Nixon, he was drunk, depressed, unable to speak, and Kissinger said no. For the next six, seven months, you had Kissinger, Alexander Haig and others from time to time calling our allies, calling our enemies and assuring them that everything was going to be okay, the United States wasn't going to act in a way that would start a world war."
"That's what leaders have to do from time to time," Scarborough added, "and there's nothing shocking and new about it."

Milley doing what Patriots do, defending This nation, this Constitution, from all enemies both foreign, and the Republican Domestic ones.
The Treason was committed by Trump and any number of Republican seditionists who tried a coup after they lost the election.
These are not difficult truths to understand.
Give Milley another star. And do it soon.
