This narrative that General Milley should resign or is a traitor is a wonderful distraction from

what happened January 6th, and that we almost lost our country

I think some fail to recognize the the lives of the Speaker, VP, and representatives and Senators were at real risk that day

The big take away from Woodward’s book isn’t that Milley tried to assure Chinese diplomats that the US government was stable, but that we came very close to losing it, and that the President of the United States was determined to subvert the results of the election

The complicity of trump’s involvement in the insurrection is slowly being diminished with these types of distractions

The irony of those republicans spewing this nonsense at Milley, had no problem with Flynn, who actually did try to sell our country down the river, seems to get lost in the mist

The defense of Milley’s conduct came a day after former president Donald Trump, speaking on the conservative television network Newsmax, labeled the chairman’s reported actions “treason” and said, “I did not ever think of attacking China.

According to the book, one of Milley’s calls took place on Oct. 30, 2020, four days before the election that unseated Trump, and the other on Jan. 8, 2021, two days after the Capitol siege carried out by Trump supporters in a quest to overturn the vote.

The first person to call it treason was Trump. . . Trump Lies
We absolutely do know that attacking China was on TFG's mind because once again . . . Trump Lies

If Biden is okay with the action to keep the WORLD safe - then I am.

to the insurrectionists to leave them alone.

If you look at some of the pictures the Dems were clearly afraid while the GOPers were laughing and smiling.

But yes, despite what they naively believed the GOPers were not in danger. This thing could have become much worse than expected. Once you have an armed mob, anything can happen.

Trump was, and to some extent through his adherents still is, a real danger to the world.

The PRESIDENT was dangerously insane, and none of those around him would do what really needed to be done and remove him through the cabinet action.

Trump's insanity and his enablers was the REAL problem.

The people who need to stay on top of this - Congressional committees, federal and state prosecutors and investigators, plaintiffs in numerous lawsuits, etc. - aren't distracted and are going right on about their business working to get to the bottom of this.

And the general public may be distracted and ready to think about other things, but this isn't going away. It will come back and be a big deal to them again.

He and Mark Esper were called to the WH. They didn’t know why. Trump was bloviating in the Rose Garden, and when he finished he told them to walk with him. Milley thought it was to look at the security around Lafayette Park, but when he saw why, he broke away and went over to talk to some National Guard members because he did not want to be seen with Trump in this situation. Later, he said Trump would never do this to him again.

This was discussed both in “Frankly, We Did Win This Election” and “I Alone Can Fix It.”

Milley did nothing wrong in dealing with China. Who really knows what that crazy motherfucker Trump would have done?

You can lie about big and small things, and there are no consequences.

You can commit crimes, like obstructing justice, and there are no consequences.

You can commit insurrection and there are no consequences, except to the foot soldiers doing the dirty work.

You can continue the grift with your supporters to raise money for legal fees related to the election, which you then spend on yourself, and they’re too clueless to catch on to the grift.

You can blame liberals and Democrats for every bad thing possible, and the Trump base will believe you.

Aided by the media, Republicans never seem to reap consequences for their actions.

However, the good General Milley needs to be investigated and held to account (and pardoned, if need be).

It is about restoring the law and civilian control of our military. Our side needs to ALWAYS be on the side of the law. Their side will not be...ever.

The commission will continue its work.

Just my two cents.

Cheers!
