Have taken all the beds.
Heart problem, stroke, accident? Sorry. Wait in your car till you die.
This should be 50% of the news going forward.
Interviews of the families of people lost because they couldn't get care because of UNVACCINATED SCUM FILLING ALL THE ICU'S.
No shot, go to the back of the line.
Scientific selection.

(15,084 posts)We can wait for ever. I was scheduled for August 6th. Cancelled August 4th. According to the doctor's office today - no possible reschedule anywhere on the horizon.
It's not life and death for me, but it's a lot of months of discomfort and potential future health problems.
And that's not mentioning the totally burned out healthcare workers. Nurses and doctors who are quitting their profession!!
BACK OF THE LINE!

(34,136 posts)Two weeks ago I told the scheduling person at my surgeon's office to try again about the beginning of October, but I am not hopeful he will be able to get it done then. My only worry is that if this goes on, the surgery will become an emergency since my condition is conducive to that happening.
Oh well, at least I could get my mammogram and dexascan scheduled - for the end of November.

(15,315 posts)The vast majority of them aren't vaxed and they are the ones causing the problem. If everyone were getting vaxed, there would be far fewer beds being taken up. No one is talking about kicking out vaccinated people from hospitals. But I'm sure you know that.

(1,554 posts)The hospitals are starting to cancel elective surgeries and we are hoping that hers is not considered elective. I sure as hell hope not! These fucking Magats are ruining everything! I hope they all die off before they do anymore damage!
I hate all of them, and their bitch-faces!

(4,913 posts)I really appreciate that. We are feeling very positive that all will be ok post surgery. They caught it fairly early and anticipate that the surgery will get it all and she will be clean. No chemo or radiation.

(22,669 posts)Damn right! It's ironic that the scum clogging up our healthcare system may end up surviving while blocking others from critical health care from natural causes. So innocent people will die needlessly, while magat scum will live on.
When the history of this period is recorded, it's going to frown upon this entire sad episode.

(21,447 posts)separate facilities for treating covid patients. Using separate facilities for long term contagious illnesses has been done before.
When tuberculosis was more common than it is today, there were TB sanitoriums for the isolation, treatment, and recovery of TB patients.
We need something like that today for covid patients. They could be centers for treatment, recovery, and research in collecting clinical data on variants, symptoms, and treatment of long term covid as well as shorter term infections.

(21,447 posts)for covid patients unless you mistakenly believe that all covid patients are unvaccinated?
Even if you do believe that, justice and punishments are for court systems, not medical facilities. Even prisoners of war and people in prisons get medical treatment.
What a foolish waste your idea would be. In order to understand this virus and disease better, clininical data on treatments, age, ethnicities, pre-existing conditions, incubation periods, and so much more need to be studied and analyzed for improving treatments, vaccines, and PPE. There are likely to be other viral pandemics in the future. We could learn a lot about future ones from studying what does and doesn't work with this virus.
Everyone could benefit from treating covid infected patients in specialized facilities. Ignoring that out of a desire to punish them for getting sick is short-sighted at best.

(16,949 posts)I've continued isolating, masking and got my vac. last Spring.
I've been hearing stories on the news that hospitals are instituting 'crisis care' rationing of care because they are overwhelmed.
According to Worldometer, over 2800 Americans died yesterday. People are ridiculous.
I don't see a solution. One of my friends had a heart problem last Dec. and her quality of care was such that she died. The hospitals were overwhelmed then, too.
