New York State is in good hands with Gov Hochul

I honestly don't know much about her. She was just on Lawrence O'Donnell's show. Here are some highlights as I recall them:

She has put $400M (?) in renters and (small) landlords hands. This is money put in states' funds by the feds. NY's and many others never got spent.

Mask mandates and more to fight Covid.

Declared NY a safe haven for Texas women!!

I liked what she had to say and how she said it. No bleeding heart, she seems tough as nails.

... I find it tremendously refreshing to hear the phrase "Governor Hochul" coming from my television.

I'm a lifelong Democrat, but I have always found Andrew Cuomo ... problematic.

4. Governor Cuomo was a mixed bag

His ego was always the cause of his problems.

Yet he did a lot of good for New York and his leadership during the pandemic filled the vacuum created by Trump.

Still, I'm glad he won't be on the ballot next year.

3. I really hope she does the mask mandate soon. Did she mention when she is going to announce it?

Cases are going up and I'm hoping we can avoid a huge surge. A statewide indoor mask mandate would help a lot as most people aren't wearing a mask in my county, which is the county Governor Hochul is from too.
