It is now Mississippi.
And Louisiana is 3rd, and will likely overtake NJ before too long.
Eventually, the top 5 states are all going to be Red states as AZ, AL & AR are closing in fast.

(9,998 posts)Still, FL is now 12th in terms of per capita deaths, and destined for the top 10 before September is over.
The #'s post, just not in a timely manner. But if you watch, you can see the cumulative #'s rising.

(101,316 posts)as if something's gone right recently - when it's just that only a few have been listed as happening on the most recent days so far. see eg https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/florida/#graph-deaths-daily
compared with, say, Texas, which is still listed by "day reported", so gives a meaningful picture that deaths are still rising: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/texas/#graph-deaths-daily

(9,998 posts)I'd much rather not have to worry about Covid, but here we are.
The red states are going to dominate the Top 10. There's no doubt in my mind about that. NJ, NY & MA are going to continue getting surpassed.

And thanks to the POS media in this country, and the brain dead voters in FL, continually sucking up to him, he likely will.

(51,591 posts)The real numbers are probably 25% higher than they are reporting. I bet FL isn't alone either.
