Feingold petition against cuts in Social Security and Medicare

http://pac.progressivesunited.org/action/legislators-reject-cuts?utm_source=sp4848062&utm_medium=e&sc=sp4848062&refcode=sp4848062

Legislators: Will you reject benefit cuts?
After the election, during the so-called "lame-duck session," there will be a movement in Congress to eviscerate Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security benefits while cutting taxes for the wealthiest Americans.

We shouldn't be stripping away crucial benefits for the elderly, the poor, and the disabled in the name of deficit reduction while too many of the wealthiest don't pay their fair share. And any changes to Social Security, a self-funded program projected to be fully solvent for decades to come, should be handled entirely separately from any deficit talks.

Members of Progressives United are targeting several Republican Senate candidates in tight races to get them on the record. Sign our petition today to demand answers from Sen. Scott Brown (MA), Sen. Dean Heller (NV), Rep. Jeff Flake (AZ), Rep. Rick Berg (ND), and Rep. Denny Rehberg (MT): Will you reject benefit cuts to crucial programs, and make the wealthiest pay their fair share?
