Most Southern Republicans Support Seceding

Most Southern Republicans Support Seceding

September 16, 2021 at 4:11 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard 0 Comments

https://politicalwire.com/2021/09/16/most-southern-republicans-support-seceding-from-the-u-s/

"SNIP......

Christopher Ingraham: “A new YouGov survey conducted on behalf of a democracy watchdog group finds that 66% of Republicans living in the South say they’d support seceding from the United States to join a union with other Southern states.”

“Secession is actually gaining support among Southern Republicans: back in January and February, 50% said they’d support such a proposal.”

Meanwhile, conservative Ben Shapiro floated the idea of a “friendly separation” of certain states away from the union.

.......SNIP"

Quebec threatening to secede resulted in a massive exodus of Anglos (english) to other parts of Canada. Quebec never seceded. Just continuously threatened to. Maybe Georgia, Florida and Texas want to see liberals migrate North and away from voting on their Congressional seats, Senate seats and electoral college counts.

Recently Alberta got ahold of the idea that threats to secede in Quebec has garnered them concessions so Alberta started to claim Alberta would go. Then one of the Virginias threatened it. Charles Blow recently wrote about how African Americans should migrate to a few states and get power that way. Threatening to secede is the new right wing chew toy.

Go.

U are a drain on the resources of the northerly blue states and we then can forge a political alliance with English Canada.

🇨🇦

We can then form a hard border, which we can use to keep your sorry asses from climate migrating. Also, to keep you away from the Great Lakes H2O.

Leave…GET OUT.

And, while your at it, remove every military and USCG base and its assets, any NOAA/NWS offices, radar, etc., NASA, all USPS personnel and equipment, etc. I honestly don't think these schumucks have thought this through. Do they think the US government is going to leave all of its assets to foreign seditionists? Or, that this will ever remain "friendly"? This kind of talk always cracks me up.

Leaving for what? A 3rd world economy in land severely compromised by global warming?

Someone mentioned texas leaving the United States in comments on DU the other day. Someone else pointed out the difficulty of making that a reality. After all, there are many Dems living in tx. The trouble with the traitors is that they live in all states, and care only about destroying the country we have, with absolutely no plan for something else. I think they are using the taliban for a model.

So give them our version of segregation, by politics, not race.

The US can take in non Republican refugees from the South. Send northern Republicans south to join their compatriots in their own country. Set up a border patrol to keep Republicans in their own country and out of the US.

Their economy won't collapse; it will never get started. Let them wallow in their own self-created poverty and ignorance.

I'm sure their god Putin would welcome them. That would leave us sane people who live in Southern states in charge so we could start cleaning up their messes.

Or all the responders here who are in favor of secession expecting the millions and millions of Democrats who live in these states to suddenly be in a foreign country?

Tech companies are bailing from Texas because of the abortion ban. Salesforce will pay the moving expenses of any employee who wants to move because of the new law.

If Texas tried to secede it would suffer economic collapse overnight.

Even the secessionists know it. They are proposing a separation where the US continues to host all its military bases in TX like other countries.

Remember, however that this is 66% of Rs.
Even in southern states, Rs are only a third of the population.
So, this is 2 in 9 people, roughly.
As big as 66% may sound, a broader view suggests this is a bulge in what used to call the lunatic fringe.

And, climate change does not bode well for them to be self-sufficient in terms of raising/growing all their food & crops.

I'm reminded of this famous scene from GWTW with the far more "worldly" Rhett Butler rather bluntly pointing out the fallacy of the enthused warmongering southern men at the Wilke's Barbeque--reminding them that they had very little except cotton to bring to the effort:

"All we got is cotton, slaves, and arrogance!"
