...when they meet soon.
Q. Who in the FBI culled the "relevant" Kavanaugh tips from the hot line and transmitted them to WH Counsel?
Q. Under what (whose) authority was this culling and transmission done?
The culling and transmission of those tips is tantamount to providing TFG with a hit list of the tipsters.
And we know how he revels in revenge.

(231 posts)For some reason, I have always liked the thought of having a
Whitehouse in the White House.

The reality that the tips that were referred to the White House could arguably be the basis for a hit list for some bad actor to use is terrifying and potentially inhibiting for victims of sexual assault generally.
The deadline was August 31. It's now September 16. We should expect Senator Whitehouse to have received at least a response to the letter, if not the identified information.
Who would ever think that a tip regarding sexual assault, referred to the FBI, might become accessible to the perp and/or his sponsor and colleague who has skin in the game and assaults in his own history and a passion for revenge?

(18,486 posts)But a lot of the tips may have been anonymous, as tips called in to phone lines often are. That doesn't mean that they all were or that the ones that weren't didn't get exposed improperly.

I wonder why no MSM is hot on this story. It's blowing up as a women's issue elsewhere, with women concerned that personal information given to the FBI potentially is handed to the ally of the perpetrator. And the "ally" is himself a sexual predator.
