Idaho has, for weeks, been sending COVID patients to Washington state's hospitals (which are also straining handling their own in-state outbreaks).... meanwhile the most important issue to Idaho's governor is opposing Biden's vaccine mandate.

aha, is *this* why Spokane's (largest WA city closest to ID) hospitals are currently packed? that was really puzzling b/c even the eastside of WA is pretty well vaxxed.

6. I live in King Co., WA (Redmond, Seattle location) -- a friend whose wife is a nurse told me

that something like 95% of the ICU of the hospital she works at (King Co.) are from eastern WA.

8. Apparently eastern WA doesn't have enough ICU beds ... if those beds are also being

used by Covid patients from Idaho (whichever part), you see how the whole system is failing in a dominoes collapsing kind of way.

5. Crikey, we were in Idaho last week

Staying in the middle of no where at a place near Yellowstone National Park.

We got gas there one morning. Otherwise didn't see a soul.

Of course, Wyoming is another hot spot. Then we flew home to Florida and my husband went back to his teaching job.
