Clarence Thomas criticizes judges for veering into politics
Published: Sept. 16, 2021 at 7:38 p.m. ET

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas on Thursday criticized some in the judiciary for veering into the role of legislators and politicians, saying it is not the role of judges to make policy or to base decisions on their personal feelings or religious beliefs.

Speaking at the University of Notre Dame, Thomas said judges “venturing into areas we should not have entered into” is part of why the nomination process, particularly for federal judges with lifetime appointments like himself, is so contentious.

“The court was thought to be the least dangerous branch and we may have become the most dangerous,” Thomas said. “And I think that’s problematic.”

But the man does not have an ounce of shame or empathy. One of the most pathetic justices on the court in the modern era.

If the court was all about justice and good laws being made, why does the federalist society care so much about getting super conservative/pro business, rich people on the supreme court??? Senator Whitehouse said they and the judicial crisis network spend about 2 million per justice and they got Gorsuch, Kav and Coney-Barrett and i'm sure there is a quid pro quo on that money!

If he was a decent human being he would shut the fuck up and resign.

Bet Thomas knows a bunch of dirt on some in the DOJ and GOP.

His wife (so subsequently his family) has made millions from extremists groups that are against basic human rights, especially those of women. Has he ever ruled or written an opinion that ran counter to their agenda?

Sadly, this won't get the national attention it deserves.
