I think the Governor of Texas has finally lost what little mind he had.

Last night my son and I had tickets to see El Tri at the Plaza in downtown El Paso. I live right next to the border on Loop 375 which is right on the border so I decided to take it downtown. Pulling out on the highway I immediately started seeing flashing lights everywhere I wondered what the hell is happening. It finally dawned on me that El Pendejo's border distraction is in full swing . There were many of them either standing around with their thumb up their ass or sitting in their cars with the lights flashing. It was a disgusting abuse of power and state resources. The border here is already quite secure here. There is usually a helicopter patrol in the morning and evening and we have a border patrol agent every mile. It was the same on the way home with every available place stuffed with Texas Highway Patrol cars, the high school parking lot near me. My best guess is they put them on overtime simply to try to score some bullshit political point. El Paso is and always has been a border city. The mainstream media has been hyping the border "crises" for years and actually has the public believing that BS. I think they get away with it because we are so isolated that very few see it for themselves. We are closer to the capitals of Arizona, New Mexico, and Chihuahua than it is to Austin. He knows he is underwater in the polling for next year and is simply trying to rile up his base just like TFG. Of course that riling up the base led to Cielo Vista Massacre which I was attended no by choice. Using improvised gurneys to get bodies to the ambulances which had to stay behind the police line is not my normal shopping experience. He and Abbott are nothing but pieces of racist shit and are just as guilty as the shooter.
On the good side I finally made it across the border to get some dental work done and the El Tri concert was perfect for Mexican Independence Day. Alex is one great performer and his band is second to none. He's only a year or so younger than me and can still bring it. Makes me which I had taken better care of myself.

He and DeSantis keep making the worst possible choices for their people.

And now this border distraction! It just takes the cake.

I hope he goes down to inglorious defeat next year. He makes me sick, and I don't even live there!

is what I did during occupy time.

Four elderly Quaker ladies with cardboard signs. Police mobilized for Big Threat.

Seattle mayor outlawed umbrellas downtown so folks would be miserable protesting in the rain. As if rain keeps seattlelites inside.

Vicious attacks by Abbott et all are heart wrenching.

I'm reminded of shopping bag guy fronting tanks in tinnemun square.

Keep on.

Both my parents were born in Fabens. We had a house in El Paso not far from 375 & Cedar Grove Elementary School. We went to El Paso in 2007 when my father decided to sell the house after my mother died. I have fond memories of that house but I was only 6 when we moved away and I never lived there again. Dad used to take us to Juarez 2 or 3 times a month and we always had a great time.

We need to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FCC_fairness_doctrine

>> The fairness doctrine of the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC), introduced in 1949, was a policy that required the holders of broadcast licenses both to present controversial issues of public importance and to do so in a manner that was honest, equitable, and balanced. The FCC eliminated the policy in 1987 and removed the rule that implemented the policy from the Federal Register in August 2011.

The fairness doctrine had two basic elements: It required broadcasters to devote some of their airtime to discussing controversial matters of public interest, and to air contrasting views regarding those matters. Stations were given wide latitude as to how to provide contrasting views: It could be done through news segments, public affairs shows, or editorials. The doctrine did not require equal time for opposing views but required that contrasting viewpoints be presented. The demise of this FCC rule has been considered by some to be a contributing factor for the rising level of party polarization in the United States.
