Where is the outrage against Anne Coulter like there was against Rush Limbaugh??

What this foul mouthed hate monger comes out with on a daily basis makes Rush Limbaugh look like a moderate. Coulter tossing out that there should be a "Disown your son day" in response to "Coming out Day" , disgusting and damaging and really, when you think about it much worse than what Rush Limbaugh said about Sandra Fluke. Don't get me wrong, I was right there e-mailing and boycotting right along with everyone over what that scum bag was saying about Sandra Fluke but seeing Coulter's latest word vomit made really think about how much worse Coulter is than Limbaugh.

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/10/16/coulter-calls-for-disown-your-son-day-in-response-to-coming-out-day/

So where is the outrage? Where are the calls to boycott anything and everything from television channels to publications that have anything to do with Coulter? There must be some sponsors to go after? How about the venues, the colleges?

My "adopted son" was over last night. He is my daughter's best friend. He is a teenage boy who recently came out after a suicide attempt last year. His parents are wonderful people but he likes to have his "adopted moms" too. He doesn't have a lot of places in this area where he is accepted for who he is and shit like what Coulter says is what helps push kids like my daughter's friend over the edge

Obviously, it is her first amendment right to spew this offal into the world but as bad as Rush is Coulter is worse! There must be SOMETHING that can be done!!!!!

Honestly, I think some of this vile talk comes from the fact that she is childless and doesn't understand the love of a mother for her child. She's clueless. And possibly wasn't well-loved as a child, either.

her to be. On the other hand, many people who don't have kids whom I know are not deprived of human affections. To imply such is uncool. I'd like to remind you of the many horrible actions parents do to their own children daily in the world. Beat them, sell them. Berate them, disown them. Facts tell us that having a child does not create some 'understanding of the love' does it?
The huge number of parents who throw thier own children to the streets for being gay should cause all people saddness, shame in fact. To imply that this is not the case, and 'childless' people are lacking in empathy is out of touch with all reason.

that All people who are childless are lacking empathy. I just thought that in Her case, the lack of experience might be a contributing factor. Some people have to experience details of life before being able to understand others.

But yes, she's probably just hardwired/softwired to be hateful and malicious.

I'll take it back.

in particular a slut, like say Andrew Sullivan, did she?

Limpballs' statements and Coulter's statements were different. One was personal, against a private citizen who made a statement about birth control. Coulter's statements are a continuing diatribe against a sexual orientation (she says lifestyle). Both outrageous. But different.

Also, she didn't go on some rant about it on her radio show. That's what brought Limpballs' statements front and center.

Right there is the problem. Granted, she's on FOX News every danged day, but she doesn't have a show on TV or radio, so no sponsors to boycott. I think the reason she doesn't have one is because even the brain-damaged a**holes on the extreme right are able to see a big red flashing sign screaming "FUTURE LAWSUIT WALKING HERE" every time she opens her mouth. They're not anxious to be standing in line as a defendant. She's monstrously over the top all the time. Anybody wanna guess how long it'll be until some guilt-crazed parent (who disowned their son who later commits suicide because of it) talks some lawyer into suing her?

version of Stephen Colbert. I guess it's just hard for me to believe that someone so perverse and repulsive would have that many fans. Her little act probably does more damage to the right wing cause than most liberals could. Even if it's all an act, though, this is nothing to joke about. To me, this is about as funny as joking about lynchings.

Ann is just spouting random hate which is nothing new, for either her or Rush. If she had attacked someone personally on some current issue it would tie in to current important events and garner more attention I'm sure.

Also, Rush has something people can go after: advertisers. Ann does not.

This is a woman who is engaging in an attack on all gay people and their parents. I find the modifier 'just' to out of place in this instance. Hate spoken against a minority is not exactly 'random' either, it is specifically addressed to gay families. People could easily tell HBO to stop paying Ann huge fees to hate people on Bill Maher's show. Folks pay for that and they sure don't have to.
Mitigation and dismissal of such hate speech is disturbing. She is one of the worst hate mongers in this nation.

I used the word 'just' to refer to her usual standard brand of hate... not as a word intended to minimize what she does on such a sadly regular basis.

As for random, she is attacking gay families this time, but she routinely attacks all kinds of people: ethnic minorities, women, etc. She doesn't seem to have a pet hate, she spews whatever ugliness sells to the right wing.

I had no idea Bill Maher had her on his show, thanks for that information. Somehow, I'm not all that surprised. I absolutely support contacting him and HBO about her appearances there. Contacting FOX is of course a waste of time, and I didn't know anyone else bothered with her.

Perhaps the outrage so far seems less widespread because this information simply isn't as well known. As someone said above: Rush is more recognizable due to his popular nationally syndicated radio show, she doesn't seem to have a fraction of his influence and comes off more like a freakshow guest that appears here and there to try to draw viewers.

She doesn't have a tv or radio show we can protest against. Granted, she's on Fox every day but Fox had Beck so they're not going to listen to liberal complaints. She doesn't have sponsors we can boycott.
