NEW: As Members of Congress urged JCS Chair General Mark Milley to rush troops to the Capitol, he told one Democrat that he thought then-President Trump had wanted the riot to happen.

At the very least, he wanted to stop the certification of the electoral vote. If anyone in Congress, or Mike Pence, had been killed, it would have been a bonus in his piglike eyes.

I hoped beyond hope for the whole agonizing 4 years of the Trump administration that there would be someone like General Milley who would somehow say, "Hell, no. We ain't going there."

Milley could very well have stopped a crazy president from starting a nuclear war. We can never know for sure.
