(9,476 posts)So he knew that then. And some of the other things that alleged he did indicate to me he was going to try to resist if Trump went full Mussolini (which he kind of did).

(25,927 posts)At the very least, he wanted to stop the certification of the electoral vote. If anyone in Congress, or Mike Pence, had been killed, it would have been a bonus in his piglike eyes.

(9,476 posts)He would win. And it would in a technical sense, be lawful if it went to a House vote. And Democracy would be dead.

(28,252 posts)How many other members of trump's inner circle are breaking with him in public---to say nothing of protecting us from nuclear war?

(23,971 posts)I hoped beyond hope for the whole agonizing 4 years of the Trump administration that there would be someone like General Milley who would somehow say, "Hell, no. We ain't going there."

(6,178 posts)Milley could very well have stopped a crazy president from starting a nuclear war. We can never know for sure.
But I am very happy KNOWING we are not in yet another war. This time an unwinnable one for the entire planet.

(36,745 posts)I remember the first address Mango Mussolini made to a joint session of Congress.
Then Chairman Dunford and the other generals sat there stone faced and emotionless. Had a very ominous feel to it.
You could tell they had been discussing the Constitution.

(16,934 posts)not only a traitor, but a drama queen traitor. If he were nero, and if he knew a fiddle from a fart, he'd have played while D.C. burned.
