(42,862 posts)If so, how did she know? And if so, I wonder if she'll need to give testimony (or a sworn deposition) that will help to corroborate the story being told by "Anonymous".

(3,622 posts)The thing is, it doesn't take a lot of imagination to figure that one of the many people aware of the secure location might be sympathetic to the rioters. AOC has street smarts and she knew that just because of who she is she was in much greater danger than most of the other Reps should the location be compromised. It was clear that their supposed protectors were not entirely reliable and close to being overwhelmed. I suspect she made the calculation that her chances were better hiding herself in a place nobody could compromise even if that place would not be guarded.

(3,622 posts)Remember, her tweet is reacting to the revelation that the secure location was in fact actually compromised. On 1/6 she suspected this might happen, and that suspicion is why she left the "secure" location. What has happened now is that her suspicion upon which she acted on 1/6 has now been verified. She was right. The mob might have been led right to her. Although that didn't happen it was a possibility which she correctly anticipated, and she took action to deal with it.

(11,343 posts)We know the insurrectionists included members of Congress.
I don't always agree with AOC, but I can't see the fault in second guessing who would want to hurt her.

(16,950 posts)as if thats relevant, but its kind of a self-own, lol. It doesnt take long to see gossip is the real reason for some of these repetitive, ahem
topics.

But, I didn't see anything untoward.
