There is a group out there and some states have actually signed on to the legislation.....where if one person wins the popular vote, the state (no matter its result) will give its electoral college votes to the person who won the popular vote.

That way there is no need for a constitutional amendment to remove the electoral college.

Here in TX, the downticket Dem pols would likely frown upon that theory...Dallas County Dems, in particular, since they benefited greatly from TX Dem voters turning out in full force during the last couple national elections.
