(35,325 posts)that are against everything Biden wants. That would be about 25% of Americans that are bat shit crazy.
A Pew poll in April or May showed just under 24% of voters identifying as repukes.
So, the 53% of those disapproving of Biden's plan isn't 25%. It's 12.7%.
I think you're greatly estimating the number of Republicans, which makes the hostage taking of this distinct minority all the more galling.
Now, I know a lot of indies voted for TFG, but even fewer of those people disapprove of this plan.
So, the noise is coming from a pretty small fraction of voters.

They should also end their discussion by schmoozing him with promises of multiple, good job infrastructure projects in his state for out of work coal miners. It's tie to play hardball.
The Intercept has revealed that Manchins daughter, the former president and CEO of the company that made EpiPen, oversaw a 600% price increase that gouged millions of captive EpiPen users. Not only that, she helped dismantle the only company that offered a competing product.

An opportunity for much delayed generational change in the nation's physical and human infrastructure is at hand and we can't allow a couple of recalcitrant senators with apparent ties to entities on the right stop the Biden/Dem agenda. We may not get another chance. Time to deliver on promises made, on a chance to save our Congressional majorities and to save democracy itself.

(53,764 posts)the human infrastructure plan. And Speaker Pelosi has made it known that both bills have to pass together or she won't bring the bi-partisan plan to the House floor.
Again, time to play hardball with Manchin, and Sinema too.
