https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/58569262?xtor=ES-211-[47352_PANUK_DIV_37_SPO_Editorial_RET_ABCBrazilian legend Pele says he feels ready for "90 minutes plus extra time" after leaving intensive care.
The 80-year-old had surgery to remove a tumour from his colon at the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo.
The three-time World Cup winner has been having treatment at the hospital since 31 August after the tumour was detected in routine tests.
"I have already left the ICU and I am in my room," he said in a post on Instagram thanking fans for support.

Pelé recovering having re-entered intensive care unit in São Paulo
Pelé is said to be recovering following reports he had re-entered an intensive care unit at São Paulos Albert Einstein Hospital in an apparent deterioration of the three-time World Cup winners health after he left the unit earlier this week.
ESPN Brasil reported on Friday that Pelé was readmitted to the ICU due to acid reflux. The 80-year-old had a colon tumour removed this month and stayed in the hospital for further monitoring.
According to a statement released by Pelés doctors later on Friday, he is stable and recovering, something his daughter also insisted is the case. Writing on Instagram, Kely Nascimento said: He is recovering well and within normal range. Promise! The normal recovery scenario for a man of his age after an operation like this is sometimes two steps forward and one step back. Yesterday he was tired and took a little step back.
