1. I am always happy to see the look on the children's faces...

The young people...even the little ones...love this couple. In all my years of watching politics, I cannot remember a president and his wife who have excited children like these two do. The children glow when either stop to speak to them. There is an instant acceptance and excitement. I'm so glad the photographer catches these moments and that our children even acknowledge that they know who President and Mrs. Obama are. I simply can't recall this happening before.

. . . the looks on these kids' faces . . . just priceless. If you take more than a moment to stare at these images and reflect - just linger a bit and wonder just what must be going on on their young minds and how that encounter will bear on these children's future ambitions -- you're just bound to feel something special.

6. what a precious, precious little girl!

I look at pix like those and so wish I'd had a chance to have kids.

(It's ok. Then I look at my family and at various and sundry others, like those named Tagg and Bragg or whatever the hell they are, not to mention Caribou Barbie's Moosebillies...and think, "Phew! dodged a bullet there!" )

5. Has HRH Queen Annie met any children?

Michelle and Prez O always look so comfortable with babies and children...who reciprocate in full

It just occurred to me I haven't seen a single pic of HRH with children other than her own, grown miscreants. I've seen plenty of pix of her DH scaring or boring the bejeezas out of babes and kiddies. But none of HRH showing her "softer" side (where ever that may be, assuming there is one in there somewhere).
