rupert murdoch might buy the Chicago Tribune and LA Times

Not that the Trib is a great paper. It does lean republican. However, it did endorse Barack Obama in '08. When I was a kid we had 3 major big newspapers and my parents subscribed to two of them (the 2 that weren't the republican leaning trib). It just makes me very sad about how the press is getting worse and worse. Even in the days of william randolph hearst there were more choices in newspapers. Anyway, here's the link:

This is why so much of the wealth should not be held by the few. They should not be in a position to influence so many. What all does Murdoch own, anyway? How old is he?

I thought he was still in jeopardy with our good friends across the ocean? What did he do, throw everyone under the bus and come out smelling like a rose?
