Capitol Police swear in state, local law enforcement ahead of 'Justice for J6' rally

U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) held a swearing-in ceremony early Saturday morning for state, local and federal law enforcement partners ahead of a planned "Justice for J6" rally scheduled for the afternoon.

The agency shared photos of Capitol Police Chief J. Thomas Manger swearing in the law enforcement agencies on Twitter.

The swearing-in took place at 7:15 a.m. ET.

About 700 people are expected to attend the rally to demonstrate in support of those who were criminally charged in connection with the deadly Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
