Let's hope the current fizzle continues and that those who've been loyally enabling the rabid worst are realizing they don't want to go there. They and we all have so many blessings to protect and look forward to. It could happen. It's not over until it's over, though.

I'm remembering that, when the Kochs et al pulled the plug on a Tea Party that had grown more extreme than intended and slipped their control, that movement went quiet for a few years (3-ish?) and then was reborn as the monster that chose tRump as its leader in 2015. This monstrous mix is pretty much the same sorts who chose Hitler and other far-right strongmen to lead them in takeovers of their nations. Most experts seem to think ours are not yet ready to give up and go back to working their fields. And then there are the other big RW powers behind this.

assumed they would be pardoned. Not true today. Bottom line is on 1/6 if they were relying on a pardon, they knew they were breaking the law.
