The inevitable happens ... covid comes to my family 😕

And hits the most vulnerable member … my 97yr old (98 next Thursday) Dad who is fully vaxxed, but at 97 he has many health issues
He’s been in nursing/assisted living for about a month due to his last (#3) fall where he just passes out and hits his head each time (4 gashes totaled stapled) He’s been diagnosed with syncope …
and after the last time we convinced him he could not live alone any longer …
I have 2 siblings with their sig O’s that are within minutes of him that visited him daily in his home to visit, shop for him, take him to dr appts, and up to that last fall he was doing OK but it was time for him to be in assisted care and he finally agreed.
Started with a fever, and delusions and he was transferred to hospital where they actually had a room for him and was admitted immediately.
He has covid pneumonia, copd, failing kidneys and risks of blood clots and the drs are saying he should be fine 😳 after some treatment. They’ve scheduled him for remdesiriv and heparin since they’ve found 2 small blood clots in his legs, and I’m thinking “is that all” ??
If he survives this and goes back to his assisted living room, I think he’s F’n invincible …. and that the vaccines must work wonders 💯%

He’s resting and in no pain fro the reports I’m getting …
But he is full of beans and then some … wants to take off his gown, and removed his catheter last nite 😳 … I thought damn that’s gotta hurt !
But my brother told me it was the condom catheter… I recommended the old style to put that nonsense to rest … I understand the no clothes gambit tho, I got that same trait from him 😁

My Mom is fully vaccinated and in a care facility. She is 98 years old and started having COVID symptoms a couple of weeks ago. She tested positive. She is hanging tough so far. Since she is still with us, my family considers her to either be wonder woman amazing or the vax to be invincible.

Covid and the first thing the doctor did was order up the antibody. It took a few days to get to her. Wouldn't hurt to ask dad's doctor.
