Indiana University Health workers refuse Covid-19 vaccine, lose jobs

At least 125 part-time employees at Indiana University Health system, the largest physicians network in the state, have lost their jobs for not complying with Covid-19 vaccination requirements, a spokeswoman said Friday.

"Indiana University Health has put the safety and well-being of patients and team members first by requiring employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by Sept. 1," said Berkley Rios, an Indiana University Health spokeswoman.

"After a two-week unpaid suspension period ending Sept. 14, a total of 125 employees, the equivalent of 61 full time employees, chose not to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and have left the organization."

The vacancies "will have a minimal effect on staffing," according to Rios.

And they'll have big trouble finding another job as that will be on their record. They probably won't get unemployment either.

A neighbor of mine is in health care and won't get a vaccination.

It is dawning on her she will never work in health care again, and she is looking at taking up another line of work.

My cousin/ best friend works for NASA and I can promise that you would never get or keep a job at NASA if you said you didn't believe in gravity.

They develop and approve a Vaccine I take it. Got my 2nd COVID shot in very early March, got this year’s flu shot a couple of days ago, and will get my COVID booster ASAP.

It all beats dying by a mile.
