My workplace is giving employees choices:

(1) Prove you're vaccinated; or
(2) Get a medical exemption AND prove weekly thereafter that you're still negative for COVID; or
(3) Get a religious exemption AND prove weekly thereafter that you're still negative for COVID.

What are my options if I've already had COVID?

What happens to employees who don't provide proof of vaccination?

Can I do my testing at home with a home test kit?
No

What happens to employees who don't provide proof of vaccination and don't provide proof of weekly negative test results?
We have a disciplinary procedure for employees who don't follow workplace policy

for weekly testing if they choose not to get vaccinated. They also do not get paid for the time they take off to get tested.

I picked up medication at a drivethrough there were four cars lined up for testing and they didn't move fast. I think insurance pays, but the fees I've read about ran @$50-100. Even if less, at once a week it seems to me it'd soon turn into aversion therapy for stupidity.

For instance, I live in Boston and there is a specific MGH Covid-19 testing center (which is what I went to when I thought I might have it) which cost me nothing, but there are pharmacies, walk-in clinics, doctor's offices and hospitals that are providing the service. I assume the price varies and is not very expensive since they would want to encourage testing.

However, if you aren't vaccinated and you have to fork over even $20 or $30 every week, that can really add up for some people, so it's a big incentive to get the vax.

Make it an affirmative action, and not just saying, "It's against my religion."

For example, it would be hard for a Catholic to claim being vaccinated is against their religion when the Pope himself is recommending they get vaccinated.

Witnesses , so people'll have to range farther.

Where it goes from there for the Church of the Eternal Q? I've also read that employers apparently can ask employees to provide documentary evidence of their church's position and/or statements from ministers, etc. If they choose.

Among other things, the military is able to check its members' vaccination histories, and if they've got one chances are not good. Imagine HIPAA would keep employers from checking this on most employees, but some would have it.

That takes out a whole lot of exemptions. Only Jewish, Mormon, Muslim, Protestant religions could.

(1) Provide proof of vaccination by the end of the month and receive an extra day's pay;
(2) Get the hell out and don't come back.

Of course they've given everyone plenty of warning, well enough in advance to get both jabs, and the extra pay is retroactive--those already vaxxed will also receive the bonus.

I've been putting up with coworkers who openly ignore the mask mandates because no one enforces them; let's see the dumbshits ignore this. The unions have been making the requisite whining noises while acknowledging that there's no legal standing to defy the company, while a few coworkers are crying "fascism." Sorry, dickheads, your obstinance made it necessary.

Family works in the office of a major bank with 100000+ US employees.

Currently, no one can even badge in until they pass temp check. Masks required anywhere on campus. They've even produced a required training video about vaccines, masks etc.

They sent a questionnaire out about vaccines that most people refused to answer. The official vaccine policy has not yet been released.

I hate seeing the corporations and management gaining such power over their workers, regardless of the specific issue at hand.

Employers having the power to mandate an employee make a specific medical decision and/or make a determination as to what is a valid religious or medical exemption just turns me off, don’t like it at all.

This is going to trigger thousands of lawsuits of course at the state and federal level, will be interesting to see the legal outcomes. There are already many federal lawsuits prepared, just waiting on the official guidelines to be published, I imagine a federal judge somewhere will issue an injunction until a final resolution is reached either at the appellate or SCOTUS level a year or two from now.

Including the dates we got the shot and which shot we got. Turns out 90% of our FT staff is fully vaccinated. When we eventually return to the office if you are not fully vaccinated then you have to take a daily COVID test. So far none of this applies to union employees but the Company is negotiating hard with the unions to make the policy the same for them. Large entertainment company.
