That rightwing guy would not let anyone speak. Yelling louder and constantly does not make you right.
If she could set some parameters and then enforce them. No one could get a word in edgewise. And she had on some good guests. I would like to have heard from them but they could not talk loud enough to talk over that...talking point shill.

(32,610 posts)that was a mess. I don't like it when she has on right wing assholes.

(47,501 posts)He is the one who said during the primaries that black children did not have any good role models. I couldn't believe no one called him on that one. This was back when Gingrich said schools should hire children instead of janitors to clean their school and that poor kids didn't see any adults go to work every day.

(47,501 posts)He was an adviser for Newt Gingrich. Ever since I saw that, I'm always making a list of "role models" in my head. I couldn't believe anyone would say that - did he miss the election of the first black president?
Anyway, he IS an idiot and Melissa Harris-Perry should never have had him on her show. He's not a credible voice for anything.

(421 posts)j/k...but a lot of these right wingers on these show panels are very disrespectful

(13,069 posts)Perhaps that is what pissed me off so much. When one of the well-learned guests attempted to speak, she could not get through one sentence before he bulldozed over her with his loud ignorance.
It offended me. Not just because he was wrong. But because it was so disrespectful--arrogant--entitled.
I love some of the guests she has on. Not the usual pundits, but really thoughtful people. So when they are bullied by the dumbfuck in the room--It is annoying.

(24,396 posts)He's currently working for Todd Akin. This guy is the dumpster diver of political consultants, moving from one failed R campaign to the next. I think he did Santorum or Gingrich already. Maybe both.

(6,093 posts)if these good shows choose to put on the bottom of the barrel teabaggery idiots for our moning pleasure I can shut them the hell off and I do the same to any other show, i.e., Ed, Larry or Rachel. If I want to watch this shit I know what channel to turn on.
Melissa: as long as you have this scum on your show, I will not watch

(10,942 posts)But one right-wingers started showing up in droves and were allowed to talk over everyone else, I no longer make it a priority to turn on the tv first thing on those mornings. The right has Fox, I want them to go there. The right is smart, spread their poison far and wide.

(115,103 posts)Since the people who control these media behemoths are in the fraction of a percentage of those who actually benefit from republican policies, they are in a position to pressure the producers of these shows, and to make sure they get their way.

(4,734 posts).... but it's a good guess that she doesn't have complete control over who her guests are. As we get closer to Nov 6, we are seeing corporate flex their money and power more and more and dropping all pretenses.
