Donald Trump considered painting his 757 the way he believes Air Force One should be painted, according to the forthcoming book Peril by Bob Woodward and Robert Costa of The Washington Post.

"I am thinking of getting it repainted red, white, and blue. Like Air Force One, the way I think Air Force One should look," Trump said, according to the book,The Independent reported Saturday.

As president, Trump had change the color scheme of the president's airplane.

Well with his one RB211B engine being removed because it is out of time compliance and needs to be overhauled and the other one covered to keep birds out and other FOD and since he really is a dead beat this is the somewhat operating costs to keep the plane flying....you get more for the parts ....and since there a lot of them sitting in the desert....

Specifications
The BOEING 757-200ER, manufactured from 1982 - 2005, requires a 2 person crew and can transport up to 200 passengers. The aircraft has a maximum operating altitude of 42,000', a normal cruise speed of 459 KTS/528 MPH, and a 6,026 NM/6,934 SM seats-full range. The BOEING 757-200ER has a 6,922' balanced field length and 4,009' landing distance. The cabin measures 07'00" high, 11'06" wide, and 118'00" long. It has a total baggage capacity of 1,650.00 ft^3; 150.00 ft^3 being internal and 1,500.00 ft^3 being external.

Pricing
Depending on numerous factors, the average price for a pre-owned BOEING 757-200ER is $20,000,000.00. A $10,000,000.00 loan over 120 months including $41666.67 per month in interest equates to a $501,437.15 per-period payment. Based on 450 annual owner-operated hours and $4.25-per-gallon fuel cost, the BOEING 757-200ER has total variable costs of $3,039,952.50, total fixed costs of $414,150.00, and an annual budget of $3,454,102.50. This breaks down to $7,675.78 per hour.

1. Too broke to fix it': Trump ridiculed for letting his 'gold-plated' private 757 sit idle in disrepai

"One engine is missing parts. The other is shrink-wrapped in plastic," reported Kate Bennett and Pete Muntean. "The cost to fix and get it flyable could reach well into the high six-figures, a price-tag Trump doesn't appear to be dealing with right now. Though the current state of his finances aren't public, the Covid-19 pandemic has taken a toll on the hospitality industry home to so many of his businesses."

15. I actually flew on Trump Air

We were coming back from a deal in NYC and my client and I were the only passengers with five flight attendants. It was amusing but not profitable for TFG.

6. The article makes an inaccurate statement

Sep 2021

The article states;

"As president, Trump had change (sic) the color scheme of the president's airplane."

They left out the words "wanted to"

He didn't change anything regarding those aircraft. The aircraft used as Air Force One still look like this;

He DID however, have a model given to him with the gaudy airline-esqe scheme he thought was better.

This is a pic of a 747-8 model that was on the coffee table in the Oval Office, which Trumpy took with him when he lost the presidency and was subesequently photographed at Mar-a-Lago;

The fact that he wants to paint his 757 airplane in that scheme is further proof of how incredibly deluded the man is.

It would be tacky plus if he had it painted as he thought it should look
