I don't know about that. 50 cal. machine guns are used on some fighter jets...

and are powerful enough to blow other aircraft out of the air.

For comparison, .50 cal is about 12mm. And while .50 cal machine gun rounds can bring down a jet, they don't do it by blowing it up. The rounds are not explosive. They simply cause enough damage to vital systems -- hydraulics, electronics, fuel tanks, etc. -- to bring the plane down.

What you're seeing is a target vehicle that was pre-packed with explosives that in all likelihood were not even detonated by the round that the Republican grifter was firing. It's possible that some contact explosive like tannerite was used, either as the primary explosive or as a detonator, but for the purposes of a commercial there are simpler and more effective ways of making things go "Boom!"

That only happens in the movies. Liquid gasoline won't explode. It burns. With an incendiary round you could set the car on fire, but it wouldn't explode -- not like you saw in that video.

Gasoline vapor could explode, given the right conditions. You'd be talking about a mostly empty gas tank that got hit either with an incendiary round or a round that struck a spark in exactly the right place at exactly the right time. Highly unlikely, and hasn't been reported as actually happening or been successfully done as a controlled test. But again, it would be nothing like the monstrous explosion you saw in that video.

What you saw was a video montage of MTG firing a rifle intercut with the controlled demolition of a car. I doubt that she was even in the same location. They probably filmed her at a range somewhere and then blew up the car in a field.

And, of course, you saw MTG whipping her followers into a violent frenzy, not that they need much encouragement. There's no doubt that she's a bloodthirsty piece of shit, but that video is cheesy propaganda, and as phony as the day is long.
