Excitement at our house....

We are the Staging Center for the Obama campaign for the next 3 weekends. People out canvassing and phone banking here. What a beautiful thing to be surrounded by good, bright liberal people....it's tough in redneck Western PA.

They are lucky to have your house for their staging center. It must be difficult to find people willing to do this.

Thank you for your generosity!

We did that in 2008.

You are going on a wild ride, dozens if not hundreds of people excited to reelect the President will be there. At times, it will seem like nothing is happening and others you place will seem like grand central station.

The neat thing is the sense of being involved in something really big.

The closer you get to election day, the wilder it will get. Expect lots of personal disruption and little personal time, that is for after the election.

Don't forget to enjoy the experience.

Good luck and thank you for your commitment, the stakes are too high.

I was prepared to do it again this year, but someone else beat me to it.

It's a very, very R area.

Wow, is Peasant Village still around? Back in the day that was always a big deal for us to go there.

On Friday, I took a picture of a towing company truck with a "Don't Re-Nig" bumper sticker near Harrisburg. I'm debating whether or not to post it on DU because it has the company name and phone number clearly on the truck.

People should know if the towing company they are calling is racist or not. That guy was stupid enough to proclaim it in public, I think they deserve some free advertisement.
