these are horribly biased terms designed to cast their behavior as being a conflict vs. personal "freedom" vs. health.
but being opposed to getting the vaccine or wearing a mask is *not* the problem. in fact, it's ridiculous how far it misses the mark.
consider the following scenario: a man stumbles into a crowd and spins himself around and dizzily starts shooting a gun, randomly spraying bullets into the crowd.
imagine that the media then simply calls this person "pro-gun" or "pro 2nd amendment".
um, ok, yeah, i guess technically the guy is pro-gun because he has one, but... the *relevant behavior* is that he was **recklessly endangering the lives of other people**.
the problem isn't that they don't get the vaccine or don't wear a mask. the problem is that they *then* insist on going out in public, into crowds, and generally engaging in behaviors that recklessly expose themselves and others to covid. if they really didn't want to get the vaccine but had an ounce of consideration for other people, they'd stay the f*ck at home (like all the people i know who *can't* get the vaccine due to allergies and legitimate medical conditions).
so, please reserve the terms "anti-mask" and "anti-vaccine" for those opposed these thing but who basically self-quarantine.
the ones who refuse to wear a masks and refuse to get the vaccine *and* insist on mingling in crowd are *biological terrorists*.
that's the correct term.

(4,999 posts)I like the basic term you came up with. Just brainstorming a term that would have a little more "zing" for the news media and general population.

clenches every time I hear this. Whats particularly puzzling is that people do not do this with a singular subject. Ive never heard anyone say, Me went to the movies, or Her just found out shes pregnant.
I do hear increasing use of a newer atrocity - making a possessive out of I. John and Is vacation was really great.

I have nothing to add, but I haven't seen anyone really address it.
Yeah, being against the vaccine or against the mask should LoGIcaLlY mean you're staying home and/or finding other ways to mitigate against catching covid.
And yet...
