well into their 70's. And because of no job security a good number of workers will be out of the viable wage work force by the time they are 45. That is because corporations do not want expensive workers after the age of 42. All you have to do is look at the pattern of layoffs and see who get trashed. That leaves these workers only one option. That option is the minor league Walmart work force.
By letting the business community strip the social contract and end long term employment workers now face the gauntlet and will never reach any kind of economic security in their lifetime. A person does not have to have government stats to see how these new business policies effect them. Just go into any store or fast food restaurant and see who is working there. Chances are you will see a senior or even a 40 something in these "new economy" service jobs.
We really cannot build a secure nation on such a foundation. And if our military is there to serve the interests of the super rich and the CEO's, then it is sad waste of manpower. Risking your life so a CEO or super rich owner can rape his workers is really such a travesty.
