Vermont has the highest percentage of its population fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the CDC's COVID-19 vaccine distribution and administration data tracker.
The CDC's data tracker compiles data from healthcare facilities and public health authorities. It updates daily to report the total number of people in each state who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The numbers reported by the CDC may vary from the numbers published on individual states' public health websites, as there may be reporting lags between the states and the CDC.
As of 6 a.m. EDT Sept. 16, a total of 180,086,143 Americans had been fully vaccinated, or 54.2 percent of the country's population, according to the CDC's data.
Below are the states and Washington, D.C., ranked by the percentage of their population that has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the CDC.

(21,806 posts)(No pun intended). Looks like Manchin needs to concentrate more on getting his state vaccinated than holding up important legislation.

(32,356 posts)... and that will make a big difference. "Get your shots or get laid off" can be a powerful incentive.
Also the schools will start vaccinating school-age kids. It will be just like the early '60s when they distributed the polio vaccine and TB tests through the schools. I think once that happens (hopefully soon) some of the parents will back down and get vaccinated too.

(16,162 posts)IN fact, when they hit 60 percent as a state last summer their governor dropped the pre-travel testing requirement for visitors. Some of the other numbers seem dated too. What is Beckers Hospital Review?

Take North Carolina--where I live--for instance. On this list it ranks 36th with 48.68% of population vaccinated. Behind Florida. WTF?
Florida population is skewed older and the over 65 population generally has a higher percentage vaccinated.
On our NC Covid tracking website, it lists 63% of the adult population fully vaccinated. That's a big difference.

God Damn it this should not now or never have been a political issue but a public health and or medical science
issue but it has become political. And this is why the disease has kept spreading.
In 2022 and 2024 we should hang the response to C-19 around the Republicans and Fox News' neck.
