County releases details of which Covid-vaccinated people end up in Central New York hospitals.

Of the fully vaccinated hospitalized, more than 80% admitted from Aug 1 - Sep 9 were over 60 years old and the biggest share were people over 80. In other words, older adults with serious underlying conditions (heart disease, kidney disease and lung disease).

Fully vaccinated people under 60 = 17%
Fully vaccinated people under 20 = 0%

Thanks. 85 people is not bad, considering the population Walleye Sep 2021 #3
Yup, and it points to the need for boosters I would say. Cheers! :) FreepFryer Sep 2021 #4

Aug. 1 to Sept. 9:

85 of the 258 patients hospitalized for Covid-19 had been fully vaccinated – about a third of the total admissions. That is still a tiny fraction of the nearly 290,000 county residents who have been vaccinated.

Also got my flu shot and a tetanus booster. I’m not afraid of needles like some of these fat gun toting monsters

She's extremely healthy, but over 80. I'm under 60, but not by much. Just not worth the risk, especially considering the glut of currently available vaccine.
