What's scary is that ordinary people kept trying to normalize him. We should all consider ourselves amateur "experts" by now on at least the big classification of personality disorder that manifests in a lot of dangerous and manipulative power seekers, but how often is that discussed? The next one may well be more dangerous because more high functioning, and he'll be admired for his charisma.
