I am so mad at my school

So I teach at a local college where masks are "required" and I am the bad gal for trying to get them to do even that. I have two face-to-face classes: totaling 30 students. 7 have gotten covid in the last 5 weeks. Each time one gets sick, I have to Zoom class for 10 days.

A math teacher who teaches in the same damn room as I do (no windows, a lab) has a positive case in the room on Wednesday. I go in and teach from 9-1 on Thursday... half of her students are mine, and that's the only way I found out. I complained to the admin. (big gonads on my part), and they pointed me to an out-sourced cleaning crew as the problem!!!

My dear husband has lung issues. We've both been vaccinated, but at this point we are staying apart. I would not know what to do If I got him sick.

I probably don't fully appreciate how fortunate I am that I'm no longer in the workforce, can stay home most of the time, and have the immense good fortune to live where people are mostly vaccinated and very good about masking.

It's insane and unforgivable that we are being "led" by people who don't give a damn about their fellow citizens.
