How P.O.ed Will Corporate Be

When Obama wins this election? To me this election represents the mask finally being removed. It is an all out attempt of international corporate interests to sieze control of the United States Government and wrest it forever from the people. Citizens United was the building of the scaffold, getting Romney elected would be the final nail in the coffin.

Their desperation has become obvious, from the push to enact laws to suppress the vote to the actual dumping of voter registration forms by their operatives at the lowest rungs of the ladder.

With as much as they have invested, it makes me wonder how we will see their anger expressed when they are thwarted, which I believe will be the outcome unless they actually engage in complete fixing of the election. We actually should probably have U.N. election observers come in, after the evidence of repub voter fraud that has been exposed.

As many others on here have observed, the plutocracys flexing of its money and power has been most evident in the subtle subliminal slanting of network "news" reporting". I find myself coming here for my news more every day we get closer to November 6.

Please, please, please, all progressives/democrats/people of good will, get out and vote.

there was talk of bringing in U.N. observers for the second Bush election. Perhaps someone with better memory can help with more info.

Correction - they DID!

"International observersAt the invitation of the United States government, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) sent a team of observers to monitor the presidential elections in 2004. It was the first time the OSCE had sent observers to a U.S. presidential election, although they had been invited in the past.[66] In September 2004 the OSCE issued a report on U.S. electoral processes[67][68] and the election final report.[69] The report reads: "The November 2, 2004 elections in the United States mostly met the OSCE commitments included in the 1990 Copenhagen Document. They were conducted in an environment that reflects a long-standing democratic tradition, including institutions governed by the rule of law, free and generally professional media, and a civil society intensively engaged in the election process. There was exceptional public interest in the two leading presidential candidates and the issues raised by their respective campaigns, as well as in the election process itself."

Earlier, some 13 U.S. Representatives from the Democratic Party had sent a letter to United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan asking for the UN to monitor the elections. The UN responded that such a request could only come from the official national executive. The move was met by considerable opposition from Republican lawmakers.[70] The OSCE is not affiliated with the United Nations."

International observers but not from the U.N. as I had thought.

That is EXACTLY what this election is about.

Certainly not for trying....I remember hearing the phrase "the dumbing down of America",back as far as the mid 60s,while in Jr.High....It really accelerated with the advent of cable TV.I'm constantly dumbfounded by the simple minded SHIT I all too often catch friends, even family, sitting slacked jawed and drooling, staring at.....

Again, all too often, those same folks idea of a conversation of current events, involves something Snooki or some dipshit Chef is doing,or said......These are people, who in large part, have mostly given up on any meaningful reading....It's tooooo hard and there way too much SHIT on the boob tube to stare, slack jawed and drooling at...Besides that, being told what to think and feel, rather than doing it themselves, frees up even MORE time to sit...Slack jawed and drooling....At the gazillion channels of SHIT......

No,it's not for trying.....Everyones been targeted by that, and other ways.....It's a concerted effort....And almost half the population is,quite evidently, predisposed to be just that gullible and mindless....

P.O.'d enough to attempt assassination through some 'lone wolf' operatives...

Not to mention what attempts will be made from Tea Party zombies.

Hope the secret service will be on their toes throughout the actual election, & for a few months afterwards as well.

These psychopaths think they can get away with anything, after all.

it seemed to me that the the jeering from the Romney supporters was actually amplified compared to the soft gentle laughter of Obamas supporters to his jokes. It also seems Romney used this event to launch a vicious personal attack on the Obamas and got away with it.
