When President Joe Biden moved into the White House in January, a new book reports, he found his new home somewhat cold with unusual remnants of Donald Trump's presidency.

"Trump's existence permeated the White House," the Peril authors write, according to an ABC News report.
According to Peril, Biden reacted to among other Trump-specific amenities a giant video screen where his predecessor used to practice his golf game, projecting virtual versions of the world's most famous courses onto the wall.
" 'What a f------ a------,' Biden once said as he surveyed the former president's toys," according to a quote from the book cited in the report. (The White House did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment on Peril, which was published Tuesday.)

Why didn't he take his toys with him or were these things paid for by the tax payers and as such not really his?

Down to the studs.
I don't trust Trump's "renovation" team any more than I would trust a team straight from Putin and/or the mafia.

(10,130 posts)come sit next to me. I want to know about how they decorated their private quarters, but I think the permanent White House staff is too professional to dish. I also want to know why Mel felt it was important to build a tennis pavillion that's bigger than my house. And whether she actually spent any time in the White House when the cameras weren't on her.
Being even a half-way competent president is a very hard and stressful job, and I don't begrudge them their recreation time. Obama had his basketball set-up, Ford had his swimming pool, IIRC Eisenhower had a small putting area in his office. But these weren't grossly expensive, and they actually tried to do the jobs they were elected to do.

The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss details of the presidents private residence, said that Trump had paid for the new system and the installation personally.
President Trump has built his schedules around long blocks of executive time unstructured periods in the day with no official meetings. He often spends this time watching TV, tweeting, holding impromptu meetings and making phone calls, aides have said.

(24,362 posts)which would serve two purposes;
1) It would be a dramatic symbol of a complete cleansing of Trumpy from the building
2) It's needed to bring the behind the walls items (pipes, wiring, communications, etc) up to modern standards AND it would solve the reported vermin and insect problems the building has.
Granted Biden wouldn't be able to live in it while it took place (He would likely move across the street to Blair House like Truman did), but sooner or later it needs to be done.
Gut it from top to bottom and rebuild it.
