Lawrence O'Donnell did a brief tribute to George Holliday last night

He was 61 and died on Monday of Covid-19 after a month of being in a hospital in Simi Valley. He was my sister’s plumber and the man who shot the Rodney King beating video in 1991.

My sister spoke highly of him over the years and she always told him what a hero he was. The only money he ever made was the $500 that KTLA channel 5 paid him for the video. He was pretty broke at that time.

His best friend said that he wasn’t vaccinated. My sister told me George didn’t hit her as an anti-vax type and was very responsible. My handyman is fully vaccinated and still wears an N-95 mask. It just seems strange to me that someone who goes in and out of people’s homes wouldn’t be vaccinated. I guess we’ll never know. Very sad.

the ones that put it off due to other responsibilities. It may have been something as frustratingly sad as that.

RIP

I'm Remodeling and Updating My Home. So far the following workers have shown up without masks. I keep a supply of masks and hand them out through a cracked door before they enter my home. Several had their own masks in their trunks or pockets. It's f**king insane in Indiana.
1. Men from 2 different fence companies
2. 2 men from AT&T though 1 had a mask in their pocket
3. 2 moving men who came to remove old refrigerator today
4. 1 guy who came to install my blinds
5. 1 handy man who came to hang 2 pictures
