I’ve been watching her all day and she has been impressive at every turn. Great arguments for progressive Democrats sticking to their position. Her interviewers keep trying to make her feel guilty for “risking everything”, and she doesn’t take that bait.

Gives me hope that, for once, Progressives won’t be (as usual) the ones that always have to give in.

6. Apparently there is. Rebels in the House got a vote scheduled for the bi-partisan bill on the 27th..

Even if all Jayapal's 94 House cacus members vote against the bill just than number of House Republicans have to vote for the bi-partisan bill to neutralize the progressives in which case the bi-partisan bill will pass and progressives will have little leverage on the reconcilation bill which Sinema and Manchin oppose in the current form.

of the 96 member Progressive Caucus are already a no on only passing the anti-worker, anti-consumer, corporate Repub bill that benefits the Rich & Corporate. The GQP is whipping against the bill.

There are approximately 190 progressive liberals in the house, including maybe 40 at most who'd be willing to lose everything rather than compromise further -- if they got carried away talking with no one but each other, plus another 20-something in the conservative Blue Dog caucus, and whomever

Watch Pelosi to see how this is going to resolve. She's been very strongly progressive for much longer than Jayapal, but she's where she is because she's committed to never settling for nothing.

The $174,000 members are paid, plus extremely lavish benefits, allows some to imagine they're standing "tough" on principles, and maybe they are principled, but no matter how it turns out they'll be standing in luxury and surrounded by professionals who call them "sir" and "ma'am."

But Nancy never forgets that she's fighting for people who can't imagine having that kind of money and many of them are in big trouble right now. That's why she's great.

3. I don't agree with the Progressive's positions on this issue. There seems to be 2 issues of

disagreement... too expensive & a demand that the 2 bills be brought to the floor together.

As to the cost, no one has said WHAT the want to cut to reduce the cost. The bill has already been reduce a lot from the original.

As to the 2 bills being voted on together... I understand Speaker Pelosi has committed to voting on the bills by 9/27. Do th progressives not trust Nancy?
