(6,801 posts)The United States does not break down into neat 20% segments with each ratio of equal value.
The top segment alone should be broken down to 0.01% hugely controlling, hoarding and consuming and the remaining 19.99% living in 2 car comfort and manageable mortgages. The bottom segment, powerless poverty, should be 65% and the remaining 15% strewn between struggling to maintain a 1960's style middle class while desperately dangling just above the poverty line.
Hey but we're still living in the greatest nation in god's world! Right? I mean, just look at our heroic military!
