(16,887 posts)that they'll 'honor' them just like the Republiqans honored all of the subpoenas from hearings of the last 5 years (and like they've learned from the 'Ninjas' in Arizona):
"JUST IGNORE THEM - THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT THEM........"

(20,864 posts)that's why the committee needs to get moving and win in the courts which will set a precedent for following subpoenas. Yes, Bill Barr is no longer AG and defying subpoenas should have consequences.

I do understand the need to gather evidence from others directly involved in the planning. But Suspect #1 can be nailed in short order. let him give up the others in a plea deal.

(30,613 posts)He should have been arrested on Jan 21st, and held without bail.
Several others did the same on that stage that day; should also have been arrested.
Then you squeeze them and start nailing the henchmen and henchwomen.

(7,265 posts)seems like our peeps are in a "re-inventing the wheel" mode of operation. Rethugs will not submit document requests We know that from years of playing this procedure out during the impeachments and Russian investigations.
scratching head here....

(20,864 posts)only a few tech companies have turned over documents the others are waiting for subpoenas.
It worries me that subpoenas have yet to be issued because it will take time to resolve them in the courts. I'm sure that Congress has a huge recess (vacation) at the end of the year, and next year is Kornacki time.

Here we go - Bannon will face the music first. Others will play games about presidential privilege but since Biden is President, that won't work.
Anyone who refuses to co-operate is going to be held in criminal contempt.
This is going to be fun.
We may soon be singing this - will need DFW to change the lyrics but it will still be At Last
