Now if they were able to ensure some accountability, that would be great.
I fear that our system benefits the wicked unfortunately. Until something changes, this is how these incidents will play out again and again and again.
UNTIL there is some accountability that sticks, why wouldn't they just ignore, obstruct and delay? Expecting them to do the right thing, because deep down inside, they're good and honest people, belies reason.
Throw someone in jail. Force the issue. Pray that it does not go to the Supreme Court for a 6-3 or 5-4 ruling that they have some non-existent right to refuse testimony. But do something, rather than let the other side laugh behind our backs, while they enjoy the lives their corruption and malfeasance has brought them.
I'll await to see the course taken over the next 2-4 months.
