I hate this. Unions vs. Labor government

It's not right. Not intuitive, but it's happening. Melbourne, Aus.

A week or so ago the state gov. identified several cases of Covid among building workers; specifically linked to not masking or distancing in the fukkin TEA ROOMS ffs. Some building sites were closed down. Keep in mind, we are going through an ever increasing surge of Delta.

The biggest (I think) union in the country is involved. The CFMMEU (Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union) has taken a stand against vaccination, lockdowns, etc., and are marching and protesting every day.

Since when did a labor union fight a labor government?

It's getting ugly. There has been a degree of violence. Interestingly, several Covid cases have been linked to the protests.

I despair.

hard to understand people but I really don't think its possible now. Seems to me the
best answer is to get these destructive people off the street and into prisons where
they belong.
