"SNIP......

“More Texas hospitals are reporting a shortage of ICU beds than at any other time since the Covid-19 pandemic hit the state 18 months ago — just one sign among many that the health crisis is on track to reach its most dangerous phase yet,“ the Texas Tribune reports.

“The latest surge of the virus has also caused new cases and COVID-19 hospitalizations to rise with record speed to just below their January peaks, as the highly contagious delta variant rips through the unvaccinated community at a rate up to eight times faster than earlier strains.”

......SNIP"

443 deaths reported. Cases seemed to have peaked, but deaths are probably a week or 2 from peaking.

But look for the Northern states to begin Fall surges now, and then Winter ones.

It's mostly Right Wingers accepting their Herman Cain awards right now, but it's still something that needs to stop some day.

hospitalizations decreasing. Although the death rate is rising (which always lags behind.)

Although still not great there has been a 58 percent decrease in cases from the average two weeks ago.

If the stupid state would stop interfering with the county regulations it would help even more.

Once again it's the rural areas that are killing themselves and spreading the disease and the repubs apparent wish to prolong the pandemic.
